National Police Remembrance Day 2015

Victoria Police Legacy (VPL) board members, life members and staff attended services across metropolitan Melbourne on National Police Remembrance Day, Tuesday 29th September.

Chairman Inspector Roger Schranz laid a wreath with legatee Alex Kapetanovski at the service at the St Kilda Road Police Memorial. Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton spoke to the police officers, family and friends gathered to remember those who have fallen while on duty, thankful that no Victorians had been added to that number in the past year. Protective Services Officer Supervisor and member of Victoria Police Shrine Guard, Andrew Campbell-Burns also spoke to the officers present. Andrew asked everyone to remember their colleagues by ensuring that they are contributing to Victoria Police Legacy.

VPL can be supported financially in a variety of ways, payroll deduction (for Victoria Police employees); through GiveNow; by direct debit or by leaving a bequest. For information about all of these please see the Support Us page.
