2017 ‘Ride to the Wall Charity Remembrance Ride’

2017 ‘Ride to the Wall Charity Remembrance Ride’ On Friday 22nd September, the third annual Victoria Police Cycling Club 3 day ‘Ride to the Wall Charity Remembrance Ride’ started from the Ballarat Police Station with 83 riders riding to Colac on day one then to Sorrento via Queenscliffe on day two. The third day saw the riders head to the Victoria Police Memorial in St Kilda Road completing the grueling three days on the road. Young Victoria Police Legatee Brendan Mason joined the riders on the last leg of the ride, in honour of his father Detective Sgt Ken Mason who passed away in 2011. To mark the completion and success of the ride, a short remembrance ceremony and wreath laying ceremony was held at the Police Memorial. The purpose of the ride is to raise awareness and funds for Victoria Police Legacy, and since its conception in 2015, the ride has raised more than $50,000. Well done team!
