Family Retreat - Fun for everyone

A great three days at the Silverwater Resort in San Remo during the first week of the April School Holidays saw 80 police legatees which included parents and children aged from 3 years to 18 years enjoy the sea side resort and the sites of Phillip Island on what is now the annual Family Camp. Day one saw everyone being challenged through a Ninja Warriors obstacle course and an evening for the young and not so young, making their own pillow pet. Day two began with a cruise around the Island with Phillip Island Wildlife Cruises which included a magnificent lunch followed by a stopover to view the local pelicans, before an amazing night of viewing the world famous Phillip Island Penguin Parade . Not to be outdone by the penguins, day 3 started off with a visit to the local Churchill Island Farm where the challenge of milking a cow was undertaken by many of the excited young police legatees, with other activities such as viewing working sheep dogs, whip cracking and exploring the beautiful farm. The challenge for everyone of finding your way through a huge maze at ‘Amazing & Things’ followed the farm before a night of entertainment for the young police legatees whilst the many of the parents took time out to catch up with each other. A fantastic few days away with amazing mums/dads and children .
