This program is for young adult police legatees aged 18 to 25 years. We provide a range of activities and forums to allow this young adult group to come together, interact and create new and lasting friendships.
Each year our VPAL group head off on a five day adventure which includes personal development and cultural experience activities with a whole lot of fun added in. Previous trips have been to Uluru in Central Australia and the North Island of New Zealand. Serving police members volunteer to join the trip which offers wonderful engagement with the police legatees.
At the end of each year our VPAL group enjoy the VPAL Christmas party which always incorporates a fun activity. Past parties have included Go-Karting, Cable Skiing, and an Escape Room challenge. All those attending receive a Christmas gift voucher.
We offer a range of youth development opportunities such as youth leadership camps and a Kokoda program which provides police legatees with the opportunity to walk the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea. These programs are aimed at developing life skills including leadership, organisation, commitment, and resilience and creating self- belief, confidence and success.
