BBQs, Blue Spirit, and Big Hearts: Run4Blue Hits the Track at the Victoria Police Academy for VPL

Published: Thursday 15 May 2025

What better way to spend the day than on the Victoria Police Academy athletics track, enjoying a fantastic BBQ lunch, all whilst raising funds for Victoria Police Legacy as part of Run4Blue.

It was inspiring to see so many Victoria Police members come together to keep the Run4Blue medal moving, whether walking, running, or tunnel-balling, all to support police families who have lost a loved one.

A big shoutout to Sergeant Pheobe Garside, the PDC Women in Policing Local Committee (WIPLC), Squad Managers and Members of Squads 20 and 21, Superintendent Anne Rudd, Acting Deputy Commissioner Tim Hansen, Acting Commander Adrian Healy, VPL Board Member Acting Inspector Ben Gordon, Run4Blue's very own Acting Senior Sergeant Glenn 'Dutchy' Holland, and all participants for making the event a huge success! A special mention also to Kuddles the Koala, who stole the show on the track!

There’s still time to contribute to this great cause, Run4Blue runs until the end of May. Sign up or donate today at run4blue.net
