VPL were privileged to be invited to the Eastern Region, Division 2 Victoria Police Honours and Awards Presentation on Thursday 21 March where our esteemed VPL Volunteer Police Veteran Senior Sergeant Andrew Hives received the National Emergency Medal for his outstanding efforts as the Municipal Emergency Response Coordinator during the 2019-2020 bushfires affecting Gippsland and North East Victoria.
Andrew was presented his award by Regional Commander Assistant Commissioner Russell Barrett APM, who was the official presenter of National Medals, Victoria Police Service Medals, Clasps and Commendations on the day.
